Llawella chose to recreate a Venetian Blind for its domestic relevance and the implications behind obscuring ones view through a window. The blinds are made by hand sewing architectural tracing paper together with polyester sewing thread. Together the process and quality of the medium transformed the blinds into something more. Upon hanging the blinds, the materials collapsed and distorted, creating abstractions within the structure.
Wonderful blinds, I like the style, especially when the blinds fold to a triangle look. The Blinds look luxurious and very neat.
ReplyDeleteOh! That's an incredible idea for blinds! The creator is really talented and creative. I wonder how many days it took for Llawella to finish this modern masterpiece.
